Florida man meme is very common on the internet. You can find a new story if you google your birth date followed by “ Florida Man”. Mine says “ Florida man hits the hunted house host in the eye with a toy gun”.
There are references to when a man was watering his garden naked. In another clip of the trailer, a naked man was aimlessly ambling near a gas station and yelling at cars, this also happened In real life.
Gators Everywhere
Like Florida, Leonida is also full of alligators and they can sneak to places they should not be. In the GTA 6 trailer, Rockstar did an amazing job of capturing the resembles of Florida’s day-to-day life in Vice City.
We see an alligator crashing a local mart and inside a pool in a house from where it is being fished out. From beaches to crime, everything Floridians experience is going to be part of Leonida.
The Florida Jocker
Another real-life reference we see is of “ Florida Jocker”, Lawrence Sullivan. He was first introduced to the internet in 2017 when his mugshot went viral.
A Spanish news clip in the trailer shows this character. Lawrence also responded after seeing his reference in the game trailer. In his recent TikTok, he addressed Rockstar saying “ We gotta talk”.
The Twerking Lady
A very bizarre footage of a lady while she was twerking on a moving car made its way into Rockstar games GTA 6 trailer. This is footage from the MacArthur Causeway in Miami and GTA did a good job of reacting to the exact moment. We are not sure if this woman has also responded after watching her viral meme into the most popular trailer of the year.
Leonida is Florida
Florida out of every state has a stereotypical culture that starts with beaches, gangs, influencer lifestyle, and memes.
Rockstar has done a job of capturing these aspects in Leonida. You saw sunny beaches, pool parties, racing, guns, and crime but that’s not enough. In upcoming GTA 6 trailer whose release dates are not yet announced we hope to get an in-depth view of Vice City, some other locations, and gameplay. For now, imagining the life of Leonidas while Lucia and her boyfriend make their way by sticking together is all we can do.
GTA 6 Trailer Song
The GTA 6 trailer release turned a lot of heads, well it was indeed a thoughtfully put trailer with an immersive display of aesthetics. However, one thing that made it more alluring was the song.
Tom Petty’s song “Love is a Long Road” exploded on Spotify after the GTA 6 release on December 4. According to Spotify, streams of “Love is a Long Road” have increased by 36979% in just a week.
This is not the first time that “Tom Petty’s song made its way into GTA. Rockstar also included “Runnin’ Down A Dream,” In GTA San Andreas in 2004. For me, this song was meant to be and somehow justifies the whole theme of GTA 6 and Lucia being the first female lead in the GTA series.
